Copies of an 1806-1810 correspondence between Arrillaga, governor of Upper California, and Rodriguez, quartermaster general of California. The letters record personal matters as well as public affairs, including the administration of missions and presidios as well as appointments of public officials. Their correspondence is accompanied by a letter from Arrillaga to Josef Joaquin de Salas, a letter from Felipe Goycochea, governor of Baja California, to Arrillaga, and a letter by Alejo García Conde to Rodriguez.
